Christmas 2010

Christmas eve morning started off with a fashion show from my poopie dogs.  Hutch is a very good sport about all of this.  My Ellie girl eh, not so much.  She does not kowtow to my antics.  She is much too refined to wear foolish hats, but not my Hootchie!!!  He goes along with just about everything.  God love him. 



He wanted everyone to know that no bunnies were hurt in the making of this hat. 

 Christmas morning was pretty laid back.  We unwrapped gifts for the first time as a family of five.  Of course Luca didn't really get it but I had a good time wrapping him up and he didn't mind as long as he got to eat the paper. 

 Of course Santa did not leave Ellie and Hutch out.  They had presents to unwrap as well.  Ellie was pretty efficient. Hutch not being a man for detail just played with his toys while they were still wrapped. 

 After Ellie unwrapped the toys Hutch played his favorite game called "Let's see how many toys I can fit into my mouth."  He is a master at this game. 

After we finished up at our house we headed over to Scott's parents'.  Luca is a puker so we made sure to get pics of him with Grandpa Larry and Grandma Sandy before we had to change his clothes. 



I just love how his little plaid shirt looks on him.



After dinner we made the trip home to see my family.  We stayed at Auntie Lori's house because they were still finishing up some construction at my parents'.  Auntie Lori was a good sport and didn't complain too much about the chaos and mess that always accompany us. Luca enjoyed some fresh naners by the soft glow of Auntie's tree.   

These little food contraptions are amazing.  You just pop the frest fruit, ice or whatever in and they can go to town.  They are a bit of a pain to clean though.

Luca and Grandma Judy enjoyed some puppy dog time.

For the most part it was a really good Christmas.  I hate that we always have to rush here there and everywhere but I guess that is pretty much what the holidays are all about.  Especially when families are so spread out.  I am just thankful that we are lucky enough to have two wonderful families to enjoy this time of year.
