Monsterous Cakes

I have been known to make a cake or two in my time. Some of you may remember the first double decker cake I made for Scotty or the one I made for Amber and Scotty's birthday. Yep those are the two cakes I have made. Not to toot my own horn but they were beauties!!!! In case you don't know what I am referring to here are some pics.

 

Now before you go asking I have to tell you I do NOT take orders for my cakes. With that being said, my Luca's birthday is just around the corner. I have decided that I am going to try to make his birthday cake. I wanted to make a monster cake to go along with the theme of his party. My little guy's birthday is a big deal. So I wanted to practice his cake to see how the finished product would look. You can imagine my surprise when it turned out like this

TAAAAA DAAAAAAA!!!!!

I can't believe it. Can you?  Who knows how it will taste because that fondant icing is a bit weird. But who cares.  I made something that doesn't look like a hot mess.
