I am a sucker for kids movies.  I am even more of a sucker for dogs. I would leave my husband for Dave Matthews (ok, not really...at least I don't think )Hence my love of the movie Because of Winn Dixie.  I watched it so many times with my kiddos at school.  It never failed that I would end up sobbing when the dog ran away in the middle of the storm.  Good thing we always worked on acceptance in my room.  My kids learned to accept that their teacher was quite goofy at times.  Anyway, in the movie the little girl loves to hear lists about her mom. (It helps her to remember her) I always think that there are so many wonderful things about Luca right now that I am never going to be able to remember them all.  So I have decided to start making lists about my little man.  Here goes the first...

(8 months) 

1. He is a "go big or go home" kind of fellow. He began crawling a month ago.  Immediately after getting himself up he took off across the room.  A few days later he was pulling himself up onto everything in sight.  
2. He has 1.5 teeth right now.  I am amazed at how much damage he has already done with those teeth.  His crib bears the evidence of his little toofers.  After going in to get him one day after his nap I noticed lots of dark speckles all over his face.  Then I saw the gnaw marks all along one side of his crib.  The window sill in the living room shares the same war wounds. 
3. He has learned to turn the pages in his books while I read them.  I think this is adorable.  This is quite possibly one of the sweetest things I have ever seen. 
4. He is good at wearing hats. Never fusses with them.   
5. He chats it up in a deep husky voice with his weimy baby after naps. 
6. Loves to feed himself.  Doesn't seem too pleased with me spoon feeding him anything anymore. 
7. Enjoys having the sole attention of his Ellie and Hootchie while he is eating anything.  Occasionally shares Mum Mums with them  (both willingly and unwillingly)
8. Spoons, colanders and plastic containers are his new favorite bath time toys.
9. He tries to eat the bubbles in the tub.  I love this.  He usually comes up with a bubble goatee but every once in a while he gets a mouth full of water and coughs and gags.   
10. He is a THIEF!!!!  He has absolutely stolen my heart over and over.
